Late 1940s / 1950s vintage. A chic short sleeve mustard yellow blouse with rouleaux bib. 

The front panel's decorative, open work design is created from coils of hand sewn fabric. This is made in a wool blend (a burn test shows the presence of a synthetic). It's unlined and there's no modesty panel so wear as is or over a camisole. Darts to back shoulders. Closes with a Kin metal zip.

This was made by hand and would make an interesting study piece - look at the images of the insides. It's a tad untidy but cleverly made. Presents well and looks lovely on.

Best fit: Approx UK 14. 

Shown on a 34" bust dress form and would fit a 36"/38" but see below.
