Hand painted and over 100 year's old this antique Victorian brooch with pendant loop features the portrait of a Tyrolean boy in a green hat (also known as a vagabond boy brooch).
The boy in a green Alpine hat was a popular image that came in different painterly styles during the mid to late 1800s, and was used on various items of jewellery. Our Tyrolean boy is painted on porcelain, imprinted with 33 on the reverse and framed in brass. Closes with a C clasp and has a bale onto which you could add a chain to wear this as a necklace.
