A striking piece, with the mermaid figure in silver contrasting against a grey black niello ground. Stamped Sterling Siam on the reverse.
Siam is the former name of Thailand and this type of jewellery, known as Nielloware, was very popular during the mid 20th Century.
This looks stunning worn against a darker outfit so you can fully appreciate the gorgeous shape and imagery.

Pendant / brooch height: 5.5 cm x Width: 4.2 cm
Condition: Very good with minor age wear.
