All hand stitched, antique 1920s black and orange patterned half apron. Perfect for serving up afternoon tea.

The main body is a solid orange with a black pattern, which contrasts with the black frill and sateen waist ties.

Black and orange was a fashionable colour way in the 1920s but garments in these colours are becoming scarcer to find. This handsome apron was made by a keen seamstress who created many garments in the 1920s / 1930s.

A hard one to part with because of those colours, and the fact that it is all hand stitched, so it's a great piece for collectors of this decade who like to feel the history of a garment. A unique find, I feel confident in saying you will not find another. This is from a time when women reused fabric remnants to create their own clothing and the use of mail order (or magazine) home sewing patterns was popular.

Width of main apron at widest point including frill: 24 inches
Height of main apron: 21 inches

The best way to check fit is to use a tape measure to measure yourself or an item from your wardrobe and check against the above. Once you have your measurements it makes buying vintage easier as standard sizes generally do not apply.

Condition: The main orange panel is in good, solid condition but the straps have wear - see images. Clean and ready to wear.

All vintage items have been pre-used, unless stated otherwise, and may have gentle signs of wear.
