Classic late 1940s, early 1950s Mid Century cotton print swing dress.

True vintage Forties' Fifties' full skirt dress by Kelly's Limited, Nairobi. A strappy, crisp cotton 40s 50s summer dress in a graphic lavender grey and racing green print. Condition report below.

The front has horizontal pleats with a central bow and overlapping lip around the top edge of the bodice. The waist is fitted with that full, sweeping skirt circling outward. Unlined. Closes at the side with a metal zipper. 

Shown with a petticoat underneath (not included).

Measurements:

Mannequin size: Bust 31 1/2" Waist 24 1/2" but the bust needed padding out. 
Dress measurements:
Bust: 32"/34"
Underarm to underarm: 17"
Waist: 27"
Hips: Free
Length: 43 1/2" The hem has been taken up by hand (and likely shortened).
Top of strap to waist: 16"
Top of back bodice (not inc. straps) to waist: 7 1/2"
Waist to skirt hem: 27 1/2"
Measurements are in inches and taken with the garment laid flat.

Condition: Good but with generalised age wear, includes: 
A mend to the waist (easily covered with a belt). 
2 patched mm holes to the back bodice.
2 patched slits towards the bottom hem.
Dark spot to lower skirt.
