Vintage Natural Malachite Green Mineral Necklace
A beautiful vintage necklace with rich green malachite beads interspaced with small glass seed beads.
Features natural malachite beads, which are all individual and have irregular bands similar to agate. This is a gemstone and, as such, weighs in at approx 80 gms and is incredibly tactile.
Length: 28 inches
Condition: Excellent, each stone has its now unique colour and banding.
Details: Malachite is a copper mineral that forms in the Earth and has been mined for thousands of years. The stone has been used for many purposes including pigment for paintings in early Egyption tombs, to create object d'art, and worn throughout history as a talisman to symbolise resurrection, with some claiming it aids healing, depression and fertility.
