A beautiful brushed gold effect 1960’s unused vintage compact by Timothy Whites with a blue floral design to the lid.

This is a pretty rare beast, as Timothy Whites compacts are not so common, and has never been used. Designed for cream powder, this could also be used with pressed face powder.

Condition: Unused with a few scuffs to the clear lacquer underneath the lid design. The box has wear.

History snippet: Timothy Whites (founded in 1848 by the man himself) once had hundreds of chemist / homewares shops around the UK selling anything and everything, including their own branded products. Boots bought out and rebranded their dispensing side in 1968, and sadly the remaining Timothy Whites stores eventually folded. If you Google the name it brings up some pretty fab adverts.
