A handsome, simple design that shows off the multi tonal qualities of the stone. This is a very beautiful piece of polished agate. The brooch pin closes with a c catch.
Agate jewellery became very fashionable during Queen Victoria’s reign during the 1800s. Often stones came from Scotland, where she spent much of her time. See close up to get a feel for the beautiful colouring.
