Original French vintage Art Deco style Pierre Bex brooch.

Retro 1970s does 1920s/1930s.

The revival of Art Deco in the 1970s and into the 1980s can be seen across fashions from the era. The colours used in this vintage brooch are reminiscent of the rich, warm earthy tones from the '70s. The pearlescent shimmer and graphic design marries with the sparkling rhinestones to great effect.

Closes with a trombone clasp (you pull the end to free the brooch pin).

About Pierre Bex:

The Pierre Bex studio used original Art Deco and Art Nouveau jewellery designs for their own brooches between 1969 to 1980.

Each 'aged' silver plated item was handmade in France. The interesting finish was created by embedding crystal rhinestones on an enamel base and coated with a clear lacquer type finish. The high quality of the end product meant Pierre Bex vintage jewellery still holds its vibrancy to this day.

Length: 6.5 cm

Condition: Very good, hinge and pin work well. 

Box shown is for display. This will be sent in a new card presentation box or black velvet pouch.
