Vintage 1960's Ted Lapidus silk dress featuring the designer's signature anchor buttons.

This effortlessly chic dress is sumptuously soft, lightweight and a perfect example of French elegant style.

Features soft brown mocha stripes, two patch pockets to front, a shirt collar and anchor embossed metal buttons down the front and on the pockets.

Details: Ted Lapidus opened his fashion house in the 1950s, he was admitted to the Chambre de Syndicale de la Haute Couture Parisienne in the early 1960s.

Having a passion for the sea and marine life, he created his signature logo / emblem of an anchor and Fleurs de Lis, which can be seen on this dress' buttons. Lapidus is credited for introducing a unisex style along with military and safari looks.

His designs were worn by celebrities, including Brigitte Bardot and François Hardy - the white suit worn by John Lennon on the Abbey Road album cover was also designed by Ted Lapidus.

All vintage items have been pre-used, unless stated otherwise, and may have gentle signs of wear.
