Stamped on the back Pat. 48340. Patented by English silversmith W. H. Collins & Co. Ltd. in 1937.

Only one previous owner and you can see why. These are an ideal gift for anyone who loves the glamour of 1930s style. The patent number refers to the patent detailed below and applies to the actual silver setting which encases the stones.
There is a record of the registration of the patent number by W. H. Collins & Co Ltd on 11th January 1937.
483,401. Settings for gems. COLLINS & CO., Ltd., W. H., and COLLINS, W. H. Jan. 11, 1937, No. 753. [Class 43] Gems 12 and a setting member 18 are held in place on a mount 10 by claws 14 on the mount which are bent over the stones to secure them in openings 17 in the setting member and the setting member on the edge of the mount.
The fronts are approx 11 mm across.
Condition: Very good with clear, bright stones.
