Vintage hand crafted 1940's silver brooch by Paul P Gutfreund dated to 1946.

Features raised initials T and B in an Arts and Crafts style that he appears to have been known for. Box not included in sale.

Hallmarks: Chester Assay Office, Lion (British silver quality mark), P. G. for Paul P Gutfreund (Paul P Goodfriend), an artistic silver worker originally based at 87 Serpentine Road in Kendal, and V for 1946.

Width: 2.7 cm. Length: 4 cm. Condition: Good but with tarnish to the silver and generalised age wear - see all images as they form part of the description.

This was created in the year following the end of World War Two. Who was BT or TB? Thomas Brown? Beth Thomson? Was it originally created as a birthday gift, engagement gift with a future husband and wife's initials? Or in memorial of someone lost during the war?

The rectangular brooch has chamfered corners and closes with a c catch to the reverse.

Important: Please keep all beads, sharp and small items of jewellery away from young children as they could present a choking hazard.

All vintage items have been pre-used, unless stated otherwise, and may have gentle signs of wear.

Delivery:
UK delivery is included.
